VERY SMALL TURNOUT!

This past week, the College Democrats held a protest to say that Bob McDonnell doesn’t speak for them. Well, apparently he does, as at the peak of the protest, only about 25 people showed up. For much of the remaining time, it was only the people organizing it and 4 or 5 bystanders.

To be fair, there were a lot of events going on that day, such as, face cream vendors, fraternities, and a disgruntled preacher. I guess they just can’t compete.

Must have been embarrassing for the two Delegates that showed up to speak.

College Republican Town Hall

Come to the GMU College Republican meeting  tomorrow, Tuesday, April 13th, SUB II Room 4  @ 7:30 pm for a Town Hall!

The newly elected Executive Board will be there, listening to what you would like to see happen in the next year. The College Republicans is your group too, and we want to see where YOU want to take it.

Afterwards, we’ll be painting a cube (by Southside) As such, wear or bring casual clothes.

Thanks to all the people who showed up to the GMU CR elections last night. I’m proud to announce the new eboard for 2010-2011

The new E-board will take over on our last meeting: April 27th.

Also, as a reminder, our next meeting, April 6th, in the JC Gold Room. Keith Fimian will be our guest and we will have free pizza.


Support the Troops Week!

The GMU College Republicans will be sponsoring their annual “Support the Troops” Week. We’ll be in a kiosk in the Johnson Center from March 15-18 from 9 am – 12 pm.

We’ll be collecting the following items. Most can be found at the convince store on campus or at the bookstore. Use your mason money or freedom funds!

-toiletries
- drink mixes (i.e. hot coca packs)
- Magazines
-DVDs
-CDs
-Gift cards
-Ramen/popcorn
-Cereal bars
-Mason clothing!
-$$

We’ll also have cards for you to sign at our kiosks.

Donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to pay shipping costs. Leftover money will be converted into gift cards.

Also – we’ll be hosting a speaker (Col. Kirk Lippold) on Tuesday, March 16th at 7:30 pm in Room F of the Johnson Center. For info on that event click here.
